Award Received for Shadek Stadium Project

Franklin & Marshall College’s Shadek Stadium received the Innovative Project, New Construction Award from the U.S. Green Building Council of Central Pennsylvania at the 2018 Forever Green Ceremony & Dinner on November 1st. The annual event celebrates advance sustainable buildings in Central Pennsylvania’s green building industry.
HKS designed and submitted the project. Turner Construction Company, David Miller/Associates (DM/A), Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, WSP, Food Service Resources, and Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. collaborated on the project.
DM/A provided the athletic and recreational conceptual plans, as well as the civil, schematic, and landscape designs for the project. In addition, we conducted the needed construction observation, surveys, and LEED Certification application.
