River Trail Update
We’re happy to report yet another new development connected to the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail project we worked on.
The Pennsylvania Office of the Budget announced last month the grant recipients of the 12.9 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program. Partners Freddy States and the Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority were awarded $1 million to convert Marietta’s historic 1800’s railroad depot into a trailhead station with event/banquet space.
The new trailhead station will benefit visitors using the river trail and be encouraged to discover the amenities and offerings of downtown Marietta. The authority plans to put in parking, open space, benches, bike rentals, and solar-powered vehicle charging stations on the lot next door as well.
