Overseas Volunteer Project: Destination Tanzania
In February, Jim Boyer (left photo) and Brent Detter (right photo) traveled to Tanzania to volunteer with Engineering Ministries International (eMi).
The team of architects and engineers developed plans for a sustainable goat farm and innovation center for Food For His Children (FFHC), a non-profit organization committed to empowering families in rural communities in the Karatu area. FFHC provides the micro-loan of a dairy goat in addition to veterinary support and agricultural training, and have helped hundreds of families become self-supporting and achieve their potential.
