DM/A’s Environmental Services
August is National Water Quality Month, which reminds us that clean potable water is not always available with the turn of a tap. The average person uses approximately 80 gallons of water or more each day! Protecting our water resources and staying educated on water quality topics is an important part of National Water Quality Month.
Here in Lancaster, we joined the Lancaster Clean Water Partners (LCWP) to implement the Countywide Action Plan (CAP). The LCWP is committed to protecting our water quality and bettering our local waterways with the goal of clean and clear local water by 2040. Together, we work on projects which move the needle forward in the goal of locally clean and unimpaired waterways.
Additionally, DM/A offers a wide range of environmental services to property owners and organizations interested in installing a water quality project or in modifying an existing facility. These services include:
Bidding and construction phase services
Federal, state, and local water quality permitting
Grading, planting, and construction plans
Hydrologic/Hydraulic modeling
MS4 Program management and project calculations
Operation and maintenance plans and monitoring
Stream channel and in-stream best management practices (BMP) design
Wetland and BMP remediation design
Wetland presence/absence studies and delineations
We have extensive experience in grant writing and administration after procuring more than 1.8 million dollars in grant funding for water quality projects in our represented municipalities since 2020. Here’s just a few of the projects we aided our clients in installing:
Amos Herr Park Wetland and Meadow Creation Project
